Feeling the fashion electricity at Premium!

October 09 2012

Originally, Premium Berlin started life in an underground space beneath Potsdamer Platz. Not very glamorous, eh? Nowadays, this established and very well known show is held in a disused postal building located beside the Gleisdreieck metro station, only a short stroll from Bread & Butter (which has helped Premium raise its profile over the years).

The different exhibit spaces, or “halls” are quite small, and divided for separate items. Hall 4, a luminous white, modern and tightly packed space is dedicated to Accessories. Headwear companies are few, but big brands were represented this season by Borsalino and Seeberger. Lots of international hat companies are trying to get some show space here, but now that this show is in high demand, spaces are not easy to get.

A new even smaller area was given over to ‘niche accessories’ in a new ‘Hall 2’ at the rear, which was an eclectic mix of high level products that included the two hat brands Mühlbauer and My Bob. And in the main area (“Hall 1″), we found Rafael from Bailey of Hollywood showing their smaller summer collection.

The small spaces with its crush of fashion hunters and international designers proved for a very buzzy and fantastic atmosphere.
